Keeping your brand fresh and attractive can be a challenge

We recently completed a logo update for Mel Carr Electric. Rob Carr is the second generation owner of the business. He had worked with 2 other design firms before contacting WHAM! Advertising and was not getting the results he desired. The Mel Carr logo was hand drawn decades ago and needed an update to communicate a more contemporary image / brand. The old logo featured a “light bulb styled technician” that was hand drawn as black and white line art. We wanted to maintain the character, but make the art style more contemporary and express a warmer, friendlier, more approachable expression on the character.

Keep it simple!

Consumers are bombarded by thousands of marketing messages every day. You need to be succinct, clear and brief as possible. We reduced the amount of words and visual detail in the logo. This makes it easy, quick and clear for viewers to see the name, service and tagline.
